I never wanted a married boyfriend, it just happened. I can't tell you why, but for some reason married men like me. I can assure you that it's not because I make them believe I will fuck them because I don't and I won't. So I'm not sure what the draw is exactly, maybe it's because I listen to them bitch about whatever and subsequently tell them they will surely devise a solution that will fix everything. My response is truly immaterial here. I could tell them to quit their job and run away to Borneo and they wouldn't it; it's just the fact that I listened. Listened actively, looked at him while he was talking, and made comments / asked questions where appropriate. This doesn't take a lot of skill. A little practice maybe, but it's not brain surgery.
Here's a note though, men, unlike women, are solution oriented. They believe that every problem has a solution. For example, if "Connie" is a bitch, don't be friends with her, don't analyze every word "Connie" has ever said to you, just don't talk to her anymore. So when you're listening and asking questions, don't over complicate matters by wanting to know the minor nuances. He's most likely not looking for you to have a solution, unless of course the issue is on some esoteric subject matter that you are an expert in, but wants to share with his partner. Not to mention hearing things out loud often to lead the answer.
So, if you're the wife and you don't listen to his complaints, big or small, he will find someone else to listen to them, regardless of how much he loves you. People need a sounding board and you, as a spouse, signed up for that role; you have to be a part of the team otherwise you'll get dropped and have to go free agent. And if you think it sucks now, try be single again.
I would like to mention that the occasional blow job doesn't hurt either, but we'll cover that later.
